More Brokerage & Factory Demo Mirage Boats for Sale This history of the Mirage 32 March 1, 2006: With some regret, Mirage Manufacturing announces a temporary halt to production of its sportfish line. Over the past 18 years, Mirage has built nearly 70 of the 29- and 32-foot boats. According to Ken Fickett, president of Mirage Manufacturing, the reason for the halt in production is twofold. The principal reason is that a boom in its trawler yacht sales have stretched the company’s human resources to the point that it would be difficult to maintain our record for timely deliveries, bearing in mind that all Mirage boats are built to order. Secondly, the 32 is essentially the same boat we brought to market in 1988, and we felt it was time that the vessel underwent a restyling. Mirage’s intention is update the boat’s highly successful hull with a redesigned console and deck, then reintroduce the boat at a later date. Meanwhile, we will keep the sportfish web pages on line to support our existing customers and buyers in the market for a used boat. To paraphrase the Governor of California, We’ll be back. |

Here’s how another owner described his fishing success with a 32 |
“We ended the year as the Small Boat (34 foot and under) billfish release champions and my son Nicholas also finished in a four-way tie for Junior Angler billfish release. He also managed to catch two bluefins over 100lbs himself. We also finished in the top 10 in the Marina Shootout and Labor Day Tournament in the billfish release category. I don't know of a better boat to take us to the canyons in that size range. Throughout the year everyone on my boat was astounded at the ability to raise fish and the speed, comfort and economy of the boat. We are gearing ourselves up for the 2005 tournament season and cannot wait to get it started. Thanks for building a great vessel”. |
