The Great Harbour 37 is a true Pilot House Trawler with the BEST Helm Position in her class - you have TRUE 360 degree visibility with great Site Lines in ALL directions. The Pilot House doubles as an extra cabin when docked or anchored and in Live Aboard fashion, makes into a great additional Guest Stateroom.

The Great Harbour 37 cuts a handsome swath as she approaches - Her plumb stem and high (and dry) freeboard her salient features. Note the optional array of electronics on the folding mast; everything from satellite communications, to a radio directions finder, to cell phone, SSB, VHF, GPS, radar and TV antennas.

The lids of the Fore Deck Gear Boxes make perfect lounging seats for the crew. You can even drive from the bow when equipped with optional Remote Auto Pilot. Optional Electronic Engine Controls give you a “Virtual Control Station” anywhere on board.

Viewed from above, the Great Harbour 37 shows off her spacious Boat Deck, oversized Swim Platform, roomy Fore Deck and protected Bridge Deck.

She even looks good from the rear; her full Wide Body readily apparent. The covered Aft Cockpit can be enclosed with optional side curtains, adding an extra living space. The Boat Deck can easily hold a 700# skiff..

We believe in “real” Swim Platforms. At 3’ wide, you have room to easily board from a dink, a floating dock or from the water. There’s even room for a fishing chair should you desire to drop a hook and catch your dinner.

The Bridge Deck is protected by high bulwarks; the Great Harbour is the only trawler in her class with a true “Portuguese Bridge.” The gate swings open giving easy access to the Fore Deck. All Electrical, Phone and Water Connections are centrally located on the face of the Pilot House - A 50’ power cable with reach virtually every time!

The Anchor Platform of the Great Harbour 37 is raised making for an easy reach. Standard is an Anchor, Ground Tackle and Windlass. There’s room for an optional 2nd Anchor and also a 2nd Windlass. The Chain Locker is divided into two separate chambers, each accessed thru hatches in the aft face of the platform.

The Great Harbour 37 has MORE DECK STORAGE than any trawler, both in her class and significantly larger. Shown on the right are the Lockers aft of the Portuguese Bridge.

The Portuguse Bridge gives an enormous amout of SECURITYwith its solid high sides. It’s perfect to lean on, whether taking a site, using your binoculars, or just taking in the scenery.

A birds-eye view of the Fore Deck showing the Opening Hatch to the Master, the Anchor Platform and the pair of Seat/Lockers.

A closer look at the Anchor Platform showing her standard Ground Tackle (to starboard) and optional anchor and rode (to port.) The Windlass has both Foot Switches (shown to starboard) and a Remote Switch in the Pilot House. The standard anchor is self tripping and can be raised and lowered without leaving the comfort and safety of the Pilot House.

Aft of the Pilot House are a pair of Boat Deck Lockers. These roomy lockers hold the LPG tanks (if cooking with gas) along with all sorts of gear.

The Fore Deck Seat/Lockers are perfect for dock lines, fenders, a hose and other deck gear. They are perfect seats, with the Portuguese Bridge acting as a back rest. Added to the pair of lockers in the Aft Cockpit (not shown,) the total number of Deck Lockers is 8! 2 Fore Deck, 2 Bridge Deck, 2 Boat Deck and 2 Aft Cockpit.

The Pilot House is surrouned by the Portuguese Bridge; going on deck is secure and safe. Spring Line Cleats are located just outside the Pilot House doors - easily reached by the skipper.

The Great Harbour 37’s standard Folding Mast. It has room for optional radar antenna plus 4 studs for “screw-on” antennas (VHF, GPS, TV, Cell Phone.) A SSB antenna can easily be mounted on the aft face of the mast. The mast is easily folded, allowing your to clear 14’ bridges (OK for the entire length of the Erie Canal); an optional electric winch makes raising and lowering the mast a mere push of a button.

Anchored off the Severn River, the Great Harbour 37, “Berlie Mae,” catches the morning sun (below.)
